Lance Bodeen
Lance brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his current role, both as a leader and a practitioner primarily handling tax and financial statements and assisting wherever he’s needed. Twenty-two years of his 24-year career have been spent with the Rulien + Associates team.
Lance holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University in Minnesota. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), reflecting a passion for his work and a commitment to professional development. Lance has significant experience working with clients in professional services, real estate, and construction industries. He has made noteworthy contributions to the accounting profession as a board member and president of the Alaska Society of CPAs, where he received a service award from his peers. He has played a key role in the Society’s legislative committee, helping to review statutes and regulations before their advancement to the Board of Public Accountancy.
Lance derives professional motivation from a genuine enjoyment of people. He finds great satisfaction in listening and talking to clients and staff and helping aspiring entrepreneurs take carefully calculated risks and craft financial solutions and strategies for success. Lance’s professional philosophy is centered on treating everyone with equal respect and consideration and giving every client the best possible experience. His approach fosters trust and long-lasting relationships that have helped Rulien + Associates earn a sterling reputation.
Outside of work, Lance enjoys hunting, fishing, and exercising the privileges of his private pilot’s license, which he earned in 2022. Lance is heavily involved in community service and dedicates a portion of his time to coaching youth wrestling.
